How to repair PPR pipe :
1.Turn off water and drain the pipe
Close the main water valve, open the faucet at the end of the pipe to drain remaining water, and dry the leaking area with a cloth.
2.Prepare tools and materials
A PPR welding machine, scissors, PPR pipes and fittings (of the same specification, such as straight connectors, elbows).
3.Repair according to the situation
Leaking joints: Cut off the leaking joint, cut a new pipe section, heat the pipe and fitting with the welding machine, then connect them and let cool to fix.
Small holes or cracks: For minor damage, use PPR welding rods to fill and repair; for large damage, cut off the broken section and replace it with a new pipe.
Pipe breakage: Replace the entire broken section, connect the new pipe to the fittings at both ends with the welding machine, and secure the pipe properly.
4.Test
Turn on the water and observe for 10 minutes. If there is no leakage, the repair is successful.
Note: The temperature of the welding machine should be sufficient (260-280℃). If you are a beginner, it is recommended to ask a professional plumber to avoid worsening the leak due to improper operation.
