The PPR pipe is easily damaged when the ambient temperature is too low. The main reasons are as follows:

1. As the temperature decreases, the movement of polypropylene molecular chains becomes increasingly difficult, and the brittleness of polypropylene gradually increases as the temperature decreases. The brittleness temperature range of PPR pipes is -15°-0°. When the temperature is too low, the brittleness of polypropylene increases and it is easy to break under external force.

2. For PPR pipes that transport cold water, when the ambient temperature is below 0°, the cold water in the pipe will easily freeze and expand in volume, generating expansion force, which may cause the PPR pipe to rupture.

3. For PPR pipes that transport hot water, when the ambient temperature is low, the hot water in the pipe transfers heat to the outside, causing the temperature of the hot water in the pipe to drop and the heat loss of the pipe to increase. Therefore, when the temperature is low, insulation measures should be taken, and insulation materials such as rubber insulation pipes, hard polyurethane plastic pipes, etc. can be added to the PPR pipes.
