PPR pipe has a Vicat softening point of 131.3°C, offering excellent heat resistance. Its low thermal conductivity (0.23-0.24 W/mk) provides excellent insulation, making it ideal for hot water systems. However, due to regulations (GB 4272) regarding thermal insulation materials (less than 0.14 W/mk), its thermal conductivity is relatively high. Therefore, whether PPR pipes require insulation depends on the project's specific requirements, such as the transport distance, the temperature of the medium being transported, and the project's insulation requirements.
